President

Jeff has more than twenty-five years experience in the financial industry,
out of which he has specialized in the development of custom fixed income programs for high net worth and institutional clients for the last twenty years.  By utilizing state-of-the-art technological innovations in the income producing sectors of the market, he
has developed a reputation as one of
the leading fixed income managers in
the country.

With a background in both taxable
and municipal financial arenas, he has developed a broad spectrum of expertise that allowed him to build a client centric practice at Sovereign Advisers.  With almost two billion dollars of assets
under management, his experience
allows him to lead the firm in the development of broad sector strategies that keep Sovereign Advisers’ clients ahead of the curve. 

Prior to founding Sovereign Advisers, he held various executive positions at Merrill Lynch and Dean Witter (now Morgan Stanley).  In the 1990s, he switched his focus to the development of custom designed strategies in mid-sized asset pools as a senior officer of two regional money managers. Jeff is a charter member of the CFA Institute, and an economist by training with a degree from the University of Colorado. 

Jeff is a firm believer that the balanced role of a business leader is one that gives back to the community at various levels.  His involvement as an educator includes conducting seminars, lectures, and providing internship opportunities at Sovereign Advisers. His philanthropic involvement includes organizations such as International Outreach Effort (trains educators of under-privileged individuals in the 3rd World Nations), Relief Efforts in the Hills of Kentucky, and Habitat for Humanity (Matthews, NC Chapter).
